For all romantic relationships, all characters must be 20+ years old. This is non-negotiable.
Favorite Romantic Relationships:
Hawke/Anders: Aah, Hawke and Anders... there are so many great things about this pairing. I ship both male and female Hawke with Anders (of course, since their gender makes no difference to Anders canonically and Hawke is Hawke, regardless of gender). I love RPing with different Hawkes and seeing how different players interpret the character. I do prefer purple Hawke, but if you have another variety, I'm down for that too. I ship this pretty much any which way.
Fenris/Anders: The pinnacle of love/hate relationships. I really enjoy this pairing for a lot of reasons, and could play it out in a lot of different ways. Is their attraction just physical? Or are they able to work around their mutual distaste for one another and actually come to some kind of understanding? Is there real fondness there? I'm up for exploring all these different versions of their relationship. (Am just as comfortable playing them in a platonic way too, for the record.)
Hawke/Fenris/Anders: Eeeeeey~ My OT3.
Nathanial Howe/Anders: Awakening, anyone? I have a real soft spot for this pairing, especially written during their reunion in DA:2. I like to imagine they had something back during Awakening, but due to Plot Reasons, it obviously fell apart. Then they meet again, both of them changed in a variety of ways, particularly Anders...
Don't get me waxing poetic about this one. I really like this ship and would love to play it out.
Pick your rarepair: I love rarepairs. You have a Sebastian, other DA:2 character? Maybe you have a Zevran or a Dorian, or some other character from another Dragon Age game? I've not had a lot of experience writing Anders in those kinds of relationships, but I'd be more than up for it. Just PM me!
Any of the above + Justice: The more the merrier! Anders and Justice have their own distinct personalities and preferences, but they're also entangled in ways they both are still trying to understand. Justice himself isn't by his nature given to physical or romantic attraction, but his prolonged contact with Anders has humanized him in many ways. I'd love to write him interacting with Anders's SO (either romantically or platonically.)
Other Relationships:
Varric: These two obviously had a friendship going in DA:2 that ended in a lot of regret on both sides. It breaks my heart to see how bitter Varric is about Anders in Inquisition. I love that they had a friendship once though. It seemed like Varric was, in his own way, trying to help Anders get out of his shell before things went all to hell in act 3.
Isabella: These two were birds of a feather back in the day. They obviously didn't know each other on any meaningful level, but they at least had similar... pastimes. They have a lot of potential for some amazing banter.
Merrill: I personally love Merrill, but to Anders, she embodies everything people fear from mages. She's walking, talking proof that the Templars' accusations of mage weakness in the face of demonic temptation are right (nevermind that he's walking around with a spirit in his own body). If you have a Merrill and want to interact with Anders, I apologize in advance for the rudeness.
The Hero of Ferelden: Anders obviously spent quite a lot of time with the Hero of Ferelden once. I like to think that they became friends for a time. Whether or not that fondness has stood the test of time is up for debate.
If there's a character not on this list, or if you have a different headcanon for any of the above relationships, that's perfectly fine with me! Please don't be afraid to tag anyway. I'm not married to any particular headcanon enough to where I'm unwilling to try new things.
